The Wedding

We will be married outside (weather permitting), in the shadow of the Newport Harbor Lighthouse, and the Newport ‘Pell’ Bridge at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on Goat Island, Newport, RI on September 24, 2011, 3PM (or as Jim would say 15:00).

The outside, the ocean and the beautiful scenery in and around Newport have a special place in our hearts and we are excited to be wed in a place that holds some wonderful memories.

Father Jakob Lazarus will preside over the marriage ceremony. He is a wonderful Catholic priest that Jim and I had the pleasure to meet and become involved with in his parish, The Church of the Holy Paraclete, Providence RI. They do amazing work for the less fortunate, the homeless, the lost and for their community. We are honored that Fr Jakob would deliver us the marriage rite.

Cocktail Hour will follow the ceremony, on the outdoor deck, and inner foyer. Assistants will be present to direct our guests. The Reception with dinner and DJ will follow, in the Rose Island Ball Room. Again, weather permitting, the outdoor deck, overlooking the bay and bridge, will remain open to our guests all evening.
